A Magical Gathering Recap and A Last Look at Enchanting Decor
Last night, we celebrated the cozy season with a Harry Potter-themed gathering, blending enchanting decor with heartwarming connections. Our home was transformed into a haven for friends and neighbors, complete with a touch of wizarding magic.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by our giant skeleton, a quirky Halloween touch, and the inviting glow of the solo stove. Friends gathered in the driveway, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor set the stage for a night filled with nostalgia and camaraderie, with a couple of crows welcoming you as you entered in, Hogwarts acceptance letters swirling, and candles lighting each of the spaces.
We kicked off the night in our signature open house style, inviting neighbors, friends, and anyone passing by to drop in. The star of the evening? A mountain of baked potatoes that I’ll be sharing the recipe for soon! Guests brought in chili and other tasty dishes, creating a delightful potluck spread. It’s no surprise that some people come just for the potatoes—there’s something about that fluffy goodness that brings everyone together!
We were especially thrilled to finally host some of our neighbors, a challenge we’ve faced since moving in due to our hectic schedules. It was wonderful to connect and spend time with them, sharing stories and laughter.
To wash down all that delicious food, I prepared a punch that disappeared almost as quickly as the baked potatoes. We rounded off the night with my friend Samantha’s warm cider, the perfect cozy drink to keep the chill at bay.
I absolutely love having my home filled with people I cherish and getting to know new faces from just around the corner. Halloween truly kicks off the cozy season for me, and last night was no exception.
